About Us

A nine hole golf course is located within the premises of India House Estate, Embassy of India, Thimphu. India House Golf Club has been playing host to the prestigious India House Golf Tournament since 1995. The tournament, highly popular among the golfing community of Bhutan, has since become an important event in the sports calendar of the country.

The annual tournament commemorates the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King of Bhutan. A separate category for the juniors was introduced in 2015 coinciding with the Coronation Day Anniversary of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

The Chief Patron of the India House Golf Club is Smt. Ruchira Kamboj, Ambassador of India to Bhutan. The Patron of the Club is Sh. Amit Verma, Counsellor, Embassy of India.
