Nalanda University Scholarship for PG Studies - 2025 

The Embassy of India announces the Nalanda University Scholarship Scheme for the Bhutanese students, for the academic year 2025. Under the Scheme, 30 scholarships slots are available for undertaking MA/MBA/M.Sc. (25 seats) and Ph.D. (05 seats) studies at the prestigious Nalanda University, Rajgir, Bihar. Full details about the courses being offered are mentioned in the attached brochures. 

2. Nalanda University was established on November 25, 2010 by a special Act of the Indian Parliament, supported by 18 member countries including Bhutan. The scholarship slots offered to Bhutanese students were increased from 02 to 05 in 2019 and then to 30 in 2022. Further, Bhutanese students can be covered under NU-BIMSTEC Scholarship available to six member countries. The slots for BIMSTEC countries have also been increased from 25 to 50 recently. 

3. The eligible candidates may apply directly at the Nalanda University admissions portal at the link:https://online.nalandauniv.edu.in/ . The selection of the successful candidates will be done by the Screening Committing of the Nalanda University on the basis of merit and virtual interviews. The selected candidates will be informed by the Embassy in due course
