Press Release: India @75 – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Final Round of the India @75 Inter Dzongkhag Quiz Competition

As part of the India@75 celebrations in Bhutan, the Embassy of India, Thimphu is hosting a nationwide Quiz Contest in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the National Broadcaster, Bhutan Broadcasting Service. The Quiz, based off the spirit of close friendship between Bhutan and India, seeks to foster greater knowledge of the special relationship.

2. The Preliminary Round of the India @75 Inter Dzongkhag Quiz was held on 16 April 2021, which witnessed participation from 21 school teams from all districts of Bhutan. The following four schools which scored the highest points in the Preliminary Round of the India@75 Quiz will participate in the Final Round scheduled at 1830 hrs. on Friday 23 April 2021:

(a) Daga Central School, Dagana Dzongkhag

(b) The Royal Academy, Paro Dzongkhag

(c) Lhuentse Higher Secondary school, Lhuentse Dzongkhag

(d) Sherubling Central School, Trongsa Dzongkhag

3. Ms. Thinley Yangchen, Bhutan Spelling Bee competition host will be the Quizmaster of the Final Round of the India @75 Quiz, which will be broadcast live on BBS. The Ambassador of India to Bhutan will kickstart the proceedings with a message to the participants. Three Question–Answer rounds as detailed below will be the highlight:-

(a) Round 1: Dedicated Team-specific Question with no negative marking

(b) Round 2: Team–specific Rapid Fire Questions with negative marking

(c) Round 3: Fastest Finger First – Open to all teams with negative marking

All participating student team members, both in the Preliminary Round and the Final Round of the India @75 nationwide Quiz will be awarded merit certificates and attractive prizes by the Embassy of India, Thimphu.
