Announcement of ICCR Scholarships: 2024-25

The Embassy of India, Thimphu is pleased to announce the following Indian Council for Cultural Relations’ Scholarships: 

I) B.R. Ambedkar UG Engineering Scholarships (25) for Bhutanese students for the academic year 2024-25. The Scholarship covers Undergraduate Engineering courses at the 126 reputed Indian Universities/Institutes. 

ii) Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (05) for Bhutanese students for the academic year 2024-25. The Scholarship covers Under Graduate/Post Graduate/PhD courses at the 126 reputed Indian Universities/Institutes. 

iii) Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme (A1209) (formerly ICCR Scholarship Scheme for Indian Culture): The Scheme offers 100 Scholarships to foreign students, including Bhutanese students, for pursuing study of Indian Culture such as Dance, Music, theatre, performing art, sculpture, Indian languages, Indian cuisine, etc. at Indian Universities/Institutes.

AYUSH Scholarship Scheme 2024-25 : The Scheme offers 84 Scholarships to foreign students, including Bhutanese students, for pursuing undergraduate, post graduate and Ph.D courses related to Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy etc. at Indian Universities/Institutes for the academic year 2024-25.

2. Aspiring students can apply online through ICCR’s A2A Scholarship portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in bullet. The A2A portal is now open for registration and the last date for submission of application is 15 June 2024. Detailed guidelines on the process for applying along with the procedure and norms governing the same are provided on the A2A portal. 

3. The Scholarship covers tuition fee and other admission related charges, airfare, along with payment of monthly stipend. 

4. The ICCR Scholarships are reflection of the commitment of Government of India to partner with the Royal Government of Bhutan to make available high quality academic opportunities in STEM and various other streams to the Bhutanese students. The unique, strong and friendly India-Bhutan relationship is evident in all sectors, including the Education sector.
